This is where it starts
Let’s Plan Your Wedding Weekend IN MEXICO
you’re dreaming of spicy margaritas by the pool and everyone saying, “This is the best wedding we’ve ever been to.”
We’d be a good fit if you:
YOU’LL GET:
An expert eye on resorts: I’ve personally been to dozens of all-inclusive resorts and know the difference between places that photograph well and places that actually deliver a great experience for you and your guests.
Guest Management handled (by me): Your guests will have questions: about rooms, pricing, transfers, timelines, and everything in between. Instead of fielding ALL of those messages yourself, they come to me. I manage the logistics so you don’t have to.
Steady guidance from start to finish: I’m detail-oriented, organized, and involved the entire way through. You’ll receive a short, manageable checklist each month to guide decisions and keep things moving, without overwhelm. I’m involved throughout the process to help you stay on track and make sure nothing falls through the cracks.
OUR PROCESS
you don’t need to become a destination wedding expert overnight.
That’s literally my job.
Planning a wedding from another country sounds dreamy, until you’re comparing resort packages that all look identical, waiting on emails that never come, and trying to decode what’s actually included versus what’s quietly considered an “upgrade.” It’s a lot.
When you work with me, I step into the parts that tend to overwhelm couples, the logistics, the contracts, the questions that pile up behind the scenes, so you can focus on the fun part: being engaged and excited.
Here’s what that actually looks like:
- Helping you choose the right resort for your guest count, vibe, and investment
- Securing your room block and walking you through the contract clearly
- Managing guest bookings and travel questions (so your phone isn’t buzzing nonstop)
- Coordinating directly with the resort wedding team
- Keeping timelines organized and expectations realistic
- Being your go-to for “Is this normal?” and “Can you help me think this through?”
You won’t be handed a pile of PDFs and told to figure it out.
You’ll have someone who knows your wedding, your people, and your priorities, and keeps everything moving forward with clarity.
So while your guests are counting down to sunshine and margaritas, you get to enjoy your engagement without turning it into a second job.

Have more questions?
Good. That means you’re thinking it through.
Let’s talk about it before you spiral in Google tabs or email a resort three more times. I’ll help you sort through what actually matters.
-
Ideally 12–18 months in advance for the best venue availability and guest accommodations. That said, shorter timelines are absolutely possible depending on the resort and season. The earlier we start, the more flexibility you’ll have. Don't hesitate to contact us 18-24 months in advance if you are particular on a specific date or season.
-
Most all-inclusive wedding packages include the ceremony venue, basic décor, bouquet and boutonnière, cake, sparkling wine, and a dedicated on-site wedding coordinator. What’s not always obvious are the upgrade options: photography, videography, lighting, DJs, extra florals [like that arch], and additional events. I help you understand the real scope so there are no surprises.

As with any customizable experience, costs will vary.
When we discuss "packages" it’s important to remember that this does not mean some set, cookie-cutter wedding. Instead, a "package" is a combination of services that can be customized.
When you work with the right resort, everything can be modified and customized. Customization is the defining factor between a "good" destination wedding resort from a "great" one. [We also know the tips & tricks of the trade to get the most value within your budget]
To give you an idea of cost, the average Escape Key Travel client has between 50-75 guests and spends between $15,000-$25,000 on their wedding and wedding events.
-
Throughout Mexico and the Caribbean (our most popular destinations for weddings), there are 3 main seasons:
Peak Season (Highest Cost): Mid-January through Easter, plus all Holiday weekends
Mid Season (Average Cost): Easter through August, early January
Low Season (Lowest Cost): September through early November, just before Thanksgiving
Depending on how much cost-effectiveness matters to you and your guests, this information can be used as a guide to help you plan the right time for you.

The answer is: it depends…
Destination weddings usually come in two varieties:
Legal ceremony
Symbolic ceremony
A legal ceremony is, of course, legally binding. If a legal ceremony at your wedding site is a must-have for you, we can walk you through the requirements for different countries. Some are simple (such as in Jamaica). Others are more challenging, but not impossible.
In situations where a country’s legal marriage requirements seem too daunting to navigate, a symbolic ceremony is a great solution. With this option, you simply get legally married at home, either just before or just after your trip. Your guests will never know the difference, unless you tell them.
[Fun fact: More than 90% of destination weddings are symbolic ceremonies.]
A great benefit of symbolic ceremonies? Since the ceremony is not legally binding, anyone can perform the ceremony. You can choose a close friend or family member to be your officiant and make your destination wedding especially unique and personal for you.

Let’s be real, some big travel agencies might not charge fees, but they also don’t offer the level of service or care you’ll find at Escape Key Travel Co. I limit the number of couples I work with each year to give you the personalized attention you deserve, from quick responses to thoughtful, honest advice. It’s a different approach, and our couples agree—it’s worth every penny.
To become a destination wedding client, we ask for a non-refundable Planning Fee of $1600. This covers everything from researching custom (never cookie-cutter) options to booking your resort stay, planning special events, managing guest logistics, and offering hands-on support throughout the process. This fee allows us to work with a limited number of couples, so you’ll always get the personal attention you deserve!
-
I'm so glad you asked! The first step is our process includes a free, no-pressure consultation call. There is no obligation and no fees will be collected for this conversation.
During this call, I can answer any questions you might have about our travel planning process. All you have to do is book your call to get started.
I can’t wait to work with you.
