Urgent PSA:

You Need a Valid
Passport to Attend

If you don’t have one yet, apply ASAP (processing can take 12+ weeks).
Already have one? Check that it doesn’t expire within 6 months of travel.
Do NOT get a passport card (that’s only for land crossings). You need the book.

💡 Friendly nag from your Travel BFF: Don’t wait, seriously.
No passport = no wedding margaritas. 🍹

Protect Your Investment

ALL PAYMENTS ARE NONREFUNDABLE

All payments are nonrefundable, so insurance is your safety net for things like trip cancellations, medical emergencies, or lost luggage.

Escape Key Travel Co. uses Travel Insured or a similar vendor, depending on the state in which you reside. Travel Insured's Worldwide Trip Protector Platinum with Cancel For Any Reason gives you the extra flexibility of knowing you can cancel your trip for almost any unforeseen reason that the Worldwide Trip Protector plan does not already cover at 100% and receive 75% of your non-refundable trip cost back. It includes benefits like trip cancellation protection, primary emergency medical benefits, 24-hour travel assistance, and more.

IMPORTANT: ‘Cancel For Any Reason’ MUST be purchased at the time of booking. You cannot add ‘Cancel For Any Reason’ after your initial deposit date. However, the base plan (Worldwide Trip Protector Platinum) may be purchased after the deposit date.

Average cost: ~$199 per person (depends on age/length of stay).

We’ll send you a custom quote with your deposit.

Book My Room

Please indicate your preferred room category when making your reservation. We have blocked rooms in both the main resort area, as well as the "Preferred Club" section. Additional room types are available and can be added to the room block by request. If you’re interested in a different room type, please explain in the “notes” field of your form. Inventory is limited, so book early to guarantee your room.

Deposit is $200 per person + the optional travel insurance.
*All rates are in and will be charged in USD.

Roommates should designate ONE person to fill out the form (one form per room, not per person).

FAQS

  • Expect the best; prepare for the worst—it’s a good mantra when your vacation investment is on the line! I highly recommend “Cancel for Any Reason” travel insurance coverage. Why? A traditional travel insurance policy (or your credit card coverage) will NOT refund you if you need to cancel for an uncovered reason.

The travel insurance option below allows you to cancel for ANY REASON and receive a refund, minus the cost of the travel insurance.

It also includes post-departure coverage for things like medical expenses or lost luggage—costs that can add up quickly if you’re not covered!
INSURANCE COST is based on age, length of stay, among other factors.
The average cost per wedding guests for the travel protection we offer is $199 per person.

  • A passport is required for your travels. Do you have one yet? If you do, when does it expire?

A HUGE heads up: Current passport processing time is 6 to 8 weeks.

If you do not have a passport yet, this doesn’t allow much time for a hiccup. I strongly recommend that you get your passport applications submitted NOW! Make sure you get the passport BOOK, not the card—that won’t work for air travel.

If you do have a passport, check your expiration date—make sure that date is at least SIX MONTHS AFTER from the date you return home from your trip. If it isn’t you likely need to renew now!

Do not wait, do not pass go, because there is NO get out of jail free card on this thing!

Visit the U.S. State Department website for more info on what you need to do now to procure or renew your passport.

  • This means that the wedding couple have paid a deposit to pre-reserve rooms just for your group. The couple has signed a contract with the resort and has committed to a minimum number of rooms; reserving this room block means the wedding couple have procured special perks and rates for their group!

Only rooms booked with Escape Key Travel Co count toward fulfilling the room block contract - that’s why it’s SO important to book your room with us rather than “going rogue” and just booking on the resort website. The resort has a 3-night minimum stay requirement, but you are welcome to come earlier or stay later! We can help you extend your stay, and we have reserved several different room types for you to choose from.

  • Absolutely! Please include your requested dates on the reservation form, and I will confirm availability.

  • You can view the rates for different room categories above. The rates listed are PER ROOM and include:

    • Hotel Accommodations

    • All Inclusive Amenities (including meals)

    • Round trip transportation between the Cancun Airport (CUN) and resort

    • Hotel tax & gratuities

    • All wedding events & activities

    • Optional travel insurance is available to protect your investment

  • Yes! Initial deposits of $XX per person are due at the time of booking by X and final payment is due X.

You are welcome to make additional payments at any time. Payment plans are interest free!

  • All quotes start with the reservation form. Fill out that form and I will get back to you with a quote. In your reservation form, make sure to include the ROOM TYPE you want to book.

  • The more, the merrier! If you’re sharing a room, please coordinate with your roommate and designate ONE person to fill out the reservation form.
Reservation forms should be one per ROOM, not one per person. When I get your form, I will email both of you and explain the next steps.
If you and your roommate live at different addresses, please make sure to include the second guest's contact info. This can go in the notes field.

  • While X & X request that you book your room with the group, you are welcome to book your own airfare. If you would like assistance with air, we are happy to help!

If you book your own air, please forward your air confirmation to me no later than April 24, 2025. This is how we schedule your transportation pick up at the airport, so you can begin your trip with ease!

Be sure to book airfare to the Cancun Airport. The airport code is CUN. Take the check in time of 3 pm and check out time of 12 pm into consideration when scheduling your flights. You are welcome to arrive sooner or depart later, but you may not have access to your room yet.

  • You are welcome to book your own airfare however you'd like (cash, points or miles). If you book your own air, please send me the confirmation asap so I can schedule your ground transportation.

Due to contract deadlines, we recommend booking your hotel room as early as possible and adding air when you're ready.

  • Short answer: yes, for sure!

The longer answer: Travel insurance is HIGHLY recommended and protects you if you need to cancel your trip. Since all-inclusive resort stays are pre-paid, insurance protects your investment if you need to change your plans. Without travel insurance, there are no refunds for any reason. Yikes!

Travel insurance is based on the cost of your room. Please see pricing tiers above.

This insurance must be added at the time of DEPOSIT.

Plus, travel insurance includes more than just cancellation coverage. It includes post-departure coverage and medical coverage as well! This is SUCH a biggie because most USA health insurances will NOT work in Mexico. If you need to see a doctor for an illness or even a small mishap, you will be charged in cash upfront before a doctor will treat you. Insurance helps reimburse you for these unexpected costs.

  • This is where travel insurance comes into play! Since all inclusive resorts are pre-paid AND non-refundable, travel insurance is encouraged to protect your investment. Life is unpredictable; plans can change, but securing travel insurance means you won’t be out $$$$ if life throws you a curveball.

Simply put, without insurance, there are no refunds should your plans change. The cost of insurance is based on the cost of your room (see pricing tiers above).

  • Yes! All international travelers are required to have a passport, including infants and children. To learn more about the application process, please visit the U.S. Department of State website.

Keep in mind you need the passport BOOK, not just the cheaper passport card. If you already have a passport, please check the expiration date. The U.S. State Department recommends that international travelers have 6 months of validity on their passport after their return trip date.

  • X & X have paid a deposit to pre-reserve rooms for your group and kindly ask that you book your hotel within our designated group contract here at Escape Key Travel Co.

There are several BIG reasons to book with through us, including:

    • The couple has worked with me to negotiate a contract for the ENTIRE group. This allows the couple to offer some amazing and fun surprises for all of you!

    • These events and special amenities are based on a group room minimum that the couple is required to meet. Rooms booked outside the group contract do not count toward this minimum.

    • Groups are given priority status at the resort, so you might miss out on some VIP treatment if you book on your own!

    • Groups are given priority room assignments, so if you book directly with the resort, you're likely getting a worse room. It will be leftover inventory … probably in an undesirable location away from everyone else.

    • Groups are given priority in terms of an oversold situation. If the hotel over sells its inventory, rooms booked within the group are protected. But if you booked on your own, you’re not—and you could be switched to another location!

Unfortunately, guests who do not book with the group contract:

    • Will not get the exclusive group rates

    • Will have to pay upfront vs. over time via the payment plan in place

    • Will not receive any pre-departure, trip support or post-trip support from Escape Key Travel Co

Unfortunately I cannot assist with travel arrangements made outside of the group, nor can I assist in the event of an emergency.

  • It’s not recommended. Guests staying off property will be charged a day pass to attend the wedding events. The resort has the right to stop selling day passes if the property reaches 90% capacity or greater, so it’s a risky move. Off-property guests are welcome for 30 minutes prior to the ceremony start and will be asked to vacate the premises 30 minutes after the event ends.

  • What should I wear?

Choosing the perfect outfit for a destination wedding is both exciting and challenging, especially if you’ve never attended a wedding in Mexico or the Caribbean before! You might be thinking to yourself, “What do I even wear to a destination wedding?” To help you out, check out my blog here for some tips to ensure you’re dressed appropriately and comfortably for the celebration.
